Betsy Wells, MA, LCPC
Betsy has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of counseling services for individuals and their families. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology as well as a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. She is licensed with the State of Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (IL# 180006857) as well as in the State of Wisconsin.
Betsy enjoys working with people motivated to address their issues with self-esteem, depression and anxiety, as well as, relationship issues and life transitions. Her specialty is assisting individuals in dealing with substance use and other addictions. She began her career working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and enjoys helping in managing these special issues.
Betsy believes that people have within themselves the ability to thrive. She is committed to assisting clients in tapping into their internal resources, by meeting them where they're at and helping them attain their personal goals.
WENDY GWALTNEY, BS, MS. C., LPC
Certified Parent Coach
Wendy has 30 years of experience in counseling, with a background in child development, parent education, and family systems. She is Master of Science prepared in Applied Family and Child Studies with an emphasis on Family Systems Dynamics and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development and a Minor in Psychology. She is a Certified Parent Coach and is licensed with the State of Illinois as a Licensed Professional Counselor. (IL # 178009060).
Wendy focuses her energy on counseling individuals of all ages, couples and families. Parent Coaching is one of Wendy's passions and in this capacity she is able to support and guide parents on their journey through raising children in today's difficult and stressful atmosphere.
Wendy supports the philosophy that by strengthening the family system each member of the family will experience a happier and healthier environment in which to live, grow and develop. In her work with individuals, she believes each person is blessed with their own unique strengths and skills and that by becoming aware of them, they can become the person they dream to be.
DR. BETH RENDON, MSW, DSW, LCSW
Dr. Beth Rendon earned her Doctorate degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2020. She also holds a Masters degree in Social Work with a concentration in school social work from Aurora University and a Bachelor's degree from Judson University majoring in psychology and minoring in sociology. She has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2014. She has worked as a school social worker for the last 15 years providing services to students from pre-k through 12th grade. She has also been employed as an adjunct professor for Aurora University since 2017. Beth loves the outdoors including: camping, biking, kayaking, snowboarding, wakeboarding, snowmobiling, and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
CHRISTINA MARTORANO, MSW, LCSW
Christina is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. She holds a Bachelors in Social Work degree from Illinois State University and a Masters in Social Work degree from Loyola University Chicago.
Christina has worked and trained in a variety of settings, including with children, teenagers, adults and families. Christina has spent 10 years helping students and their parents navigate the educational environment and its impact on students' mental health.
Christina has a passion to help individuals become aware of their emotions and behaviors and help them to better manage anxiety and/or depressive symptoms. Christina focuses on teaching skills to effectively deal with life and regulating emotions. Her approach to therapy includes a safe, strength-based, therapeutic place for children and adults to work through their feelings, problems, and life struggles. She believes in meeting the client where they are and making small, manageable changes.
